Translucent Pineapple

Translucent Pineapple

Although we have been taught not to play with our Food, I can guarantee you, the Pineapple tasted delicious – after the Shot.

I wanted to shoot a Fruit in a way, where the Light shines through the Inside of it, in a translucent Style, in front of a black Background.

I prepared the Pineapple for the Shot cutting it about 1 cm Thickness. This is good enough for the Light to make it almost glowing when hitting it from an Angle about 45° from behind and below.

I use a normal reflector with a 15° Honeycomb Grid attached to it, so the Light is more focused.

One Stripbox on each Side of the Pineapple hits the Fruits Leaves, so they come visible. I used a 50mm Lens for this Shot, almost at the same Height as the Pineapple.
