White Calla

White Calla

Sadly this beautiful Flowers are used at Funerals. This is a Shot of a White Calla or Kalla, with Teardrops.

For this Shot, a white Calla (or Kalla) was set Upside-Down in front of a black Cardboard. The black Cardboard was mounted on a Softbox. It covered the Surface of the Softbox about 90%.

The Light from the Softbox hits the Object in front of the black Cardboard like a Ringflash. This creates a beautiful slim Silhouette of Light on the Object, but the Object itself is almost in the Dark.

A second Light creates a small Spotlight, just hitting the Blossom of the Calla.

To create the Droplet, I used Nail Polish, in a Color that matched the white Calla.

It took some Time to catch the perfect Drop, but after some Attempts, this is what came out.
